The traffic-calmed town center lies on both sides of the Horumer Tief. Behind the dike and Wangersiel, you’ll find a small marina for yachts and fishing boats, as well as a wide beach over 2 km long (mostly sand, with a nudist section, beach volleyball, beach chair rentals, and a playground) and the “Seesternchen” children’s playhouse. Excellent sailing, kiteboarding, and surfing opportunities, landboarding, and mudflat hikes.
